We had our family pics taken this week. Haven't seen them yet but Shirley shared this one of Jax. Oh my. What a handsome boy he is growing into. And so sweet!

Becoming an Author!
Jaxon wants to become an author when he grows up. As motivation towards this very desirable goal (mommy wants to be one when she grows up too) I ordered him a book making kit from author Peter Reynolds Fablevision website. It came in the mail this week and he began right away. Already has an interesting plot line about a lion named Doodle who wants to be a policeman but can't because "he is not a people." Love it!

Karate-White Belt
Jax decided that he wanted to try karate as his sport this season. We signed him up at Dragon Karate Center and on his birthday he earned his white belt by demonstrating the Star Block series and front kick. He is enjoying his classes very much.

Birthday Boy...Jaxon Roy
6 years ago this wonderful kid came into our lives. Jaxon made me a mommy. I am forever in awe of his energy, spirit, and uncanny ability to make friends with anyone. He has the sweetest heart and loves to cuddle. He wants nothing more than to please but has a stubborn/persistent side (from both of his parents) that can sometimes get him into trouble. He is goofy, kind, empathetic, musical, and happy. He loves to dance and brightens a room with his smile. He is my baby and he is growing up so fast. Happy Birthday Bubba!
Jax is a growing machine. He grew 3 inches in a year and is now 49.5 inches.

Great Wolf Lodge
This Jaxon choose to go to Great Wolf Lodge instead of having a party. We took the boys and Colin up on Saturday, 8/2 and stayed the night. We did all the indoor fun the first evening and spent the following day at the water park. We even got a special suite with a Wolf Den for the boys.
